The Baby Moon

Last week my Husband and I indulged in one last extra ordinary holiday. A wonderful week of pampering and relaxation in the Maldives. We stayed at the Park Hyatt,

accessible from the UK by 3 planes and speed boat.

As we arrived at sunset with the island sitting at the end of a rainbow and the vivid colours of the sky looked impossibly beautiful. The resort had more staff than guests, a spa and very little to do except snorkelling, canoeing and relaxing. The food was amazing despite the menu not having many veggie options. The chef was a star and  cooked up a vegetarian special option especially for me every evening.  I need to get his recipe for butternut squash soup – the best I have ever tasted. I can also recommend the pregnancy massage.

The was one thing we did that I don’t really recommend for babymooners is the 4am speed boat ride home across choppy waters. Despite the very bumpy ride – I am pleased that my bump is apparently fine, kicking away nicely in my tummy. I’m a little sad to be home, but really glad I have the memory of a fabulous holiday and some inspirational photo’s my hats.

Will we ever get to do this again? Maybe, if we win the lottery and the grandparents agree to baby sit . In the mean time I have looked at our options , camping and centre parks are on the agenda when she gets bigger but  while she’s small

looks like a good place to start looking..
